Thanks guys! To wrap this up, I was able to find Almond Green GN37 at the Sherwin Williams Automotive Paint store. He found it easily and offered me a great deal on the paint. Now, to get the painter on board! He should get the shell next week or the following at the latest. Spent today applying the seam sealer as the Heritage website recommends. What a pain that is. Still have the roof to do, but that, hopefully, won't be too bad.

Matthew

Take a look at what Mini Mania has posted under articles.

What do you see listed next to Almond Green for Ditzler ?

I think I used that code for spray out.

Where did you find your number ?

Edit.

I googled the 47705 Ditzler paint code and it does show also for Almond Green. Maybe a superseded number.

The only problem I have with that is my local paint store doesn't carry Ditzler and that's where my painter buys his supplies. I think I'm going to have a talk with him and see what we can do.

47705 is what the link says for Ditzler

Well, I went back to my local paint store (Finishmasters) armed with a list of twelve numbers from different manufacturers. No soap! The only one he could match was the single stage euro paint that I really didn't want. Tomorrow I'm going across town to the Sherwin Williams auto paint place and see what they can do. I'm thinking this really shouldn't be this difficult! Anyone ever bought (over the net) paint from TCP Global? They claim to have Almond Green, but they claim to have about any/every color ever mixed.

I went through a ton of research two years ago over Almond Green.  Anyway, my local auto paint shop color referenced it..  We shot the car and it looks great, like other Almond Green Minis I have seen.  It is a Delfleet Code: 43058.  It is a single stage paint from Carquest.  I like it.  I have had a Delfleet paint on my Austin healey for 9 years now and it still looks great.  Single stage urethane.  None of this base-clear crap.  I will have to say that is is darker appearing than the green you posted, which looks like a porcelain green.

You're right Bill. (Especially here in Arizona)

I'm Lizard Skinning the car with both thermal coating and sound deadening coating. Not sure if the coating is going to be enough. May end up with white roof.

I did a spray out of Almond Green.

When I take a picture of it says file size is too large.

Somewhere I have a PPG # for it.

Maybe I can save it and resize it.

PS That's my favorite color on a mini.

I'd love to paint mine Almond Green with OEW roof.

But original colour is Smoke Grey. Still leaning towards that (w/black roof)

PS Have them mix a small batch and do a spray out of Almond Green to make sure it's what you're after before mixing the full amount.

(Why I'm I telling you? You know already)

Big John

Ditzler # for Almond Green is 43058.

KC, that looks more like Porcelain Green.

It appears to be more Porcelain Green to me, which is a bit lighter than what I was after. Very pretty color though!

KCMINI, It might just be computer screens, but, based on what the picture looks like to me,  I don't recall any early, English built Mini with that color green.
