The nuts are not to long and there is a little wheel back and forth play when the nuts are untightened....

This would be my third nut set trial... Maybe one of the wheel has worn holes. I will also measure the nut diameter to see if they really make it to 17mm, as sold by the australians themselves.

The chrome plating is already pealing off of them... not a big quality indicator!

Thx.

Check what Spank said. If you using the correct lug nuts then they should be fine. Here is what one looks like with the center painted black. I run them on my car no problems. Here are the lug nuts I am using. //minisport.com.au/mini-mag-nuta-suit-jellybean-style-mag

1) are lug nuts bottoming out before wheel is fully seated (are lug nuts too long)?
2) do the sleeve nuts fit snugly inside the hole of the wheel or when all are installed but not tight they wheel can be rotated back and forth excessively on the studs?

Hi,

I have vibration problems with my wheels. The original standard 10 in. steel wheels have always been fine but my AUSTRALIAN Jelly Bean Mags seem impossible to center properly on the hub. (They have been balanced and torqued as required).

Since a lot of mini wheels are centered by conical/ball lug nuts, I am wondering if some of them have ever been hub-centered and if some of you ever had vibration problems with this kind of wheel, which use shank/sleeve style lug nuts.

I know I have to torque the nuts before lowering the car completely to the ground.

THX!
