It should be under/behind the dash just above the parcel shelf/bottom dash rail. It should be a 3-prong flasher unit fed from a fuse by a purple wire with orange trace line. It should have a light green/purple trace utput wire going to the turn signal switch. The thirs wire is a black ground.

Rather than mounting it in such an obnoxious place, get a heavy-duty flasher unit (as is used on trucks etc). They have a suitably loud click and flash at a steady rate no matter how many lamps it is serving at any time. For example, if a light burns out, it will still operate the other remaining lamps at the same rate, not flash quickly or not at all like the cheap ones often found in cars. Depending on the model of flasher, it may sound louder of it is secured to something that will resonate the clicks.

That's my problem too, cant hear the flasher's ticking sound,  that's why i replaced the old metal flasher With a loud flasher and relocated it on the upper left hand corner, as  seen in the damn picture.  Since then no more forgetting to turn back the turn signal...

another out of the box innovation....im sure some floridians will take  down notes and copy my idea.  It's ok!!

Could some kind person please tell me where the turn signal flasher is located on a early 1990 mini? Mine works, but i dont here it. Just want to know where it is in case i need to replace it some day. Is it 2 or 3 prong? Thanks very much. And the location of the emergency flasher too. Thanks.
