Another version. Used to make "Jiggers" at Breton Versatrek in Sidney Nova Scotia at the industrial park in 1970. They used a motorcycle handlebar type steering control system but their weak point was the long chain drive system used to power and link all 6 wheels. Chain subject to stretching and breakage. Like almost everything run thru the Cape Breton Development Corp. ( DEVCO) , they went bankrupt. They also used to assembly Isuzu cars at the same park.

Back around that time, someone had one near our summer cottage. I was probably around 14 a the time. Seeing one go by at what looked like 40 mph, (probably less but when it went by on a narrow one-lane country road it LOOKED fast) I immediately wanted one. Still do.
They were made in Carleton Place, Ontario, just west of Ottawa.

Mike (ve9aa) is closer. It was Canadian-made but not by Bombardier and it is capable of going in the water.

Guys from the Ottawa valley: give others a chance.
It kinda reminds me of a 1960's Bombardia Sea-Doo, but with wheels.
Am I in the ballpark Dan?
(by the way, completely unrelated, but I saw a Bricklin the other day. Even in NB, 50miles from where they were built in the late 70's, we don't see many.)

"The first examples left the works in June 1957. With its fiberglass bodyshell, it was called the "one-eighth Corvette", referring to the other fiberglass car across the pond with seven more cylinders.
It was already evident by October of the same year that the market would not support another minicar. Production ended in February 1958."
One cylinder motorcycle engine with 14HP in the rear. Push-button manual transmission.
Motorcycle company decided to build cars for one year ...

Looks like a low production count "beach car". My first instinct was Renault (sorta 4cv-ish), then I was thinking crosley, but looking for verification doesn't match up, so dunno.
I'm not expert, though, so I can comfortably say I don't know. Maybe his name is NOT Philo.
