Or have the best of both worlds: bolt it. The bolts you use should exert enough compression on the panel that friction between it and the other body panels is enough to keep it from moving. Don't rely just on the diameter of the bolt in the diameter of the hole.

Or just leave it out altogether ... the extra clearance is a bonus at oil change time..

Spot welded. or you could plug weld them

I just ordered a stiffener for the front panel. This is the metal piece that is in front of the generator connecting the lwr and upper body panel. It appears from the picture to have two holes in the top and bottom for attaching. Should i use small nuts and bolts or rivets for attaching this piece?
