can you post a pic or link to a pic of the Mini Mover? My recollection is that Big Al had one of the BMC support buses, converted to an RV.
thanks

Sorry to hear you're liquidating all your Mini stuff.

Would you happen to have any models or brochures? I'm always looking for those.

Best regards,

Miguel

Thanks for the offer Mike, thats very generous of you.  The older I get, the more I realize that I have more projects than I have time left on top of the ground.  I think I found an excellent home for this car already and I look forward to seeing its progress.  Im sure I will miss it as much as I do my pumpkin orange Clubby Estate that I gave up years ago!  I also still have my Dad's 78 to drive around in when I start to miss these little cars!   I wish I would have jumped on that Lime Green 1275GT you had up a while back.  I still have those parts set aside for you if we can ever hook up.

Bill, you truly are one of a kind!  No doubt I will miss the hobby and I miss every mini that has passed through my garage and there have been many.  Its just time to move on from British cars but im sure I will be back.

James, It's flat down here on LI.  If you want to park the 59 with me, I'll register it, insure it, and drive it to keep it up to snuff. Or maybe we could work out something else. Shoot me an em.

Hey All,

Sad to say that I dont visit here much anymore.  Well, the time has come to liquidate all of my mini "stuff".  My life and interests have taken me in other directions and hoarding mini's and parts is a crime when someone else can put them to good use.   I wanted to offer things up to the mini community before going public with anything.  Most important is that these cars go to a good home.

So first, my 59 Austin NZ Mini.  I sent the vin to the MK1 club over the pond and they confirmed that this is the earliest known NZ export.  Its in surprisingly good shape and living in a very poor storage unit.  Has an 850 in it with remote gearbox. That being said, it looks like some crafty Kiwi had this car as a daily driver and added some creature comforts.    I purchased it many years ago from a semi local mini enthusiast.  He imported it from NZ.  The kicker is that i dont have any paperwork on it.  This can be obtained fairly easily but I have to come to the realization that im never going to go to DMV to do the paperwork to get a title.  I will be extremely happy to provide a bill of sale.  Here's the next catch.  This car needs to go to someone who is going to do the right thing with it.  No Honda engine or stretched nose or even 1380.   This is a piece of mini history and I will donate it or let it rot before I see it cut up.  My plans were to make a hotrod MKI until I verified that it was an actual 59.  I have probably been sitting on this car for more than 10 yrs now.

Next up is the world famous Mini Mover.  This is a modified 49 Austin K8 used by Big Al to haul mini's for several years.  I aquired it years ago.  Brought it out to some local shows.  Had some fun around town with it.  For about the last 6 yrs, its has been sitting at my in laws farm and time has not been kind to it. Some critters have moved in to the interior and quite a bit of rust has developed but its still solid. Definitely needs alot of TLC.  Engine hasnt been started in years but fired right up last time I tried.  I have all of the paperwork for this truck but it has never been registered in my name.

I also have several spares running around that I need to inventory and list.  Mini Cord doors, worn out 998 lump, tons of other isc parts that need to go to a good home.

I have no prices in mind right now.  Just need to make sure things go to a good home.  Please email me at [email protected] if interested in pics or details.  As i mentioned, I dont visit here much anymore.

Hope all my old friends are doing well!

Kindest regards!
