BC this is not really a car selling thread...we are all trying to ignore you, as usual. If you want to find out about Michaels business structure, write him a letter or buy one of his clients cars. Otherwise, if you have any MMW photos, you can post them here and put in a "shameless" plug if you feel you must.

The video that metalwright  (Chris) did of Mini Meet East 2017 has some great drone-camera footage in it:

//www.minimania.com/msgThread/121835/1/1/Video_from_MME2017

At MMW, there was a drone flying around the autocross/Funkhana area. Is there drone-camera footage from that one?

Did anyone else shoot video at Mini Meet West they could share?

In some earlier years at MMW, Josh White did some really professional videos of the meets. I still have a couple of them. I didn't see Josh this year?

How many Minis/MINIs were registered at MMW this year? And how many were classics? Any idea how many others showed up?

On the MME photo thread yesterday, Paul Strieby reported that the closest count so far had it at 72 Classics, 16 New MINI.
//www.minimania.com/msgThread/121822/1/1/Mini_Meet_East_2017_photos

Any updates to final counts?

Thanks, I really enjoyed the Mini Meet - a double thumbs-up to the organizers and volunteers! I'm looking forward to Mini Meet West 2018 in Oregon.

Does anyone else have MMW photos they would like to share?

alex.. here is the USA. .if you are selling cars and making PROFIT  . you  must be BONDED  ( usually $50.000) and have proper Dealer lic.. and dealer lot.. no such thing as ML is doing now as escrow service..  it is a FELONY..in some  US states.. In NC . you can NOT even have a consignment car listed for sale. if you do NOT have it on YOUR delaer lot and US title in hand.. and consignment contract...  later bc

I never met or spoken to the buyer of my rally replica 997 Cooper until i got my money afterwards. He did acted as a mediator, protected both myself and the buyer. I did my homework too and always made sure my paperwork is always good. I was the seller so i made sure i had guarantees that my money was available within the day before the car went on the car transport. I was butt hurt about that deal with that cheap Cooper S that got away but it's all business.

I think Miniguy just acts as an introductory service between potential buyers and sellers - any transactions are done between the trading parties and he stays at arms length from that.

There must be a fee involved, the size of which and who pays it I know not, but the setup seems to work quite well with many happy clients.

Great photos! I followed the link to your page and was wondering about the text. It says that you used to be a licensed dealer and broker but all the cars are for sale by owner? Does this mean you're no longer brokering Minis? Also, as weird as California is, does one have to be licensed to broker cars? Seems a bit too much government to me, but I guess it's all about the money.

Thanks again to the organizers of the Mini Meet - GREAT job!

Of the 100+ cars registered, most were classic Minis.
