We don't feel the need to have faux Irish pubs here, so I'll have to give this one a miss !

Nice one  Matthew !  The Canadians are leading the pack.  Ironic, as there are more Minis in the USA, UK, and elsewhere.

I nearly accomplished the daily double yesterday... at the All British Car Day, Miguel and I, with a third Mini were parked at the north-west  end of the field. Behind us was Lac Deschenes, a part of the Ottawa river. The lake is about 20 miles long and close to 2 miles wide in spots. when the Montreal contingent arrived, we all moved down to be with them. In some of the photos I posted in another thread, you can see the lower end of the lake behind the row of Minis. No sunglasses on the roof though.

Next challenge:
Your Mini in front of a recognizable place of worship (church, temple, synagog, mosque etc.)
Bottle or can of your favorite beverage - FULL. Bottle cap or end of can must be visible.

Was busy yesterday, but as promised, as soon as the Church parking lot cleared out, I went down the road and shot these.

Next Challenge: Your Mini/MINI (or of course, MOKE) in front of a large body of water* (brooks and mud puddles need not apply) and sunglasses on the roof.

*ocean, lake, river, large pond...don't forget your sunglasses

Being a retired RCMP in BC,  you should be able to find a large "crop" of illicit produce, or have they given up trying to fight it?

you ride a Harley Mike?

do to get that "Phuk you " look on your face when you ride.....like every other Harley rider I've ever seen?
do Harley riders have to sign a promissory note when purchasing a bike, that they will have that look ?

great idea Mike...... I look forward to attempting to beat others to it

Fun idea, Mile!

The "large field of crop" idea is a bit tricky here... the fields in some areas look more like large bodies of water. In parts of some fields, not even weeds are coming up. 95+ days of rain.
Thanks Al and Dan.  I know how this Challenge/Game is played and stated the rules quite clearly.
I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV. (but I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night!) No need for anyone
to twist them to suit themselves.

So, I have put it out there and see no need to reply to anyone not wishing to follow along properly.

ALL are welcome to play, following the rules in the first post.

Enjoy !

Dan; Buy a umbrella for your wee beast and go for a drive !  hee hee

i was about to introduce this Game here but you beat me to it daddy lol!!,  this game is called "Tag You're It"  and we do this in our scooter and boat forum too.  the original poster(ve99) should post the first picture challenge instead of just describing it.  this game is fun, and we get to show our minis regularly ,maybe beside a train, beside an iconic statue etc.  whoever gets to post the tagged picture has the chance to post a picture of his choice and so on and so forth.

and don't make it difficult (like putting the sunglasses on top)  otherwise no one will do it, if the criteria is too strict the game will end soon, trust me, i know this darn game very well.

They've been doing this for years on a Harley Davidson forum I am on, and have never seen it here in all the years I've been here (and I've been here a LOT of years, LOL)
(I've swiped this from the Harley site and edited the word "bike" out and added Mini/MINI and changed some language. ) It's not my idea, so credit goes to those fellas.

Here's how you play:

The Idea: It all starts with a challenge for Mini/MINI drivers to go out and get pictures! For example: Your Mini near a large body of water OR your Mini with a good looking lady (or man, if you're a gal) in it OR a sunset silhouette pic of your Mini , a Mini in front of a monument, a budwesier truck, a police station.ETC...  Sometimes guys make it a little more difficult, like "Your Mini in front of a store decorated for Valentines day with a box of chocolates on the roof". Your Mini near a large 4x4 with big wheels, a bottle of water on the roof.

You get the idea. (I hope!)

Whoever posts the first pic that meets the criteria gets to set the next challenge.

other rules...
1) All photos must be new. In order to prove photos are new, the poster will ask for something specific in the photo. I.e. Glasses/goggles on seat, helmet next to Mini, Gloves hanging on steering wheel, rubber chicken on the antenna, Santa hat on the mirror etc. Something that will show that it is a new photo, not one you just found on google, or that you took 3 months ago.

2) The idea is to get out and drive, make sure that the photo's can be taken safely and try to be creative.

3) If a challenge is too difficult, or an acceptable photo is not posted in 5 days, the last person to start a challenge can name a new one. If that person doesn't within a couple subsequent days (making a full week since the challenge was posted) then the next person to post in the thread can come up with the new challenge.

4) Remember, this is all just for fun, please keep that in mind.

5) Whoever started the challenge has the final say in whether someones' photo meets the requirements of the challenge, if there is some question.

Good luck! Lets see some cool photos!

The first challenge is your Mini in front of a large field of crops.
Corn, potatoes, grapes, Canola, something we can all recognize.
With your sunglasses on the roof.

Go!
