The RHD Elf/Hornet cars had a rubber piece built into the carpet to protect it from rubbing when using the gas pedal, but I don't recall anything for RHD passengers or LHD drivers and passengers.

I've considered bending a sheet of diamond tread aluminum to attach to that area where my foot rests. But I haven't worn through the carpet yet, so it's not high on my priority list.

I rest my foot on the fender well as do my passengers because of the limited foot room.  Is there some kind of kick panel that you can attach to that part of the foot well to prevent wearing of the fabric?
