grounding point location help for mk1 panel/gauges/speedometer

Hi,
I get it now. Yes, I have that ... it's the nut that holds down the voltage regulator for the fuel gauge. All clamped down properly.

If you look at the back of the speedo, the center section sticks out from the rest of the housing. Above that on the RH side (as you are looking at it) there should be a small stud just beside the light bulb socket. That stud should be around 3/8" or 5/16" with a nut on it. That is where the cluster of black wires are grounded to the instruments. Hope this helps.

Hi,
Could some please tell me where the panel, gauges, and speedometer are supposed to be properly grounded? Essentially, where is that group of black wires supposed screwed down? I can't find a proper image in my manuals.
