You should have the engine codes 'scanned' to see what error is causing the caution indicator.  Most national auto parts chain stores will read the code free of charge.  Once you have the error code, we can narrow down the cause.

I have a 2012 Clubman. Had a new battery put in yesterday, and now after the mileage showing on the dash is the caution symbol (Exclamation point in a triangle). No other warning lights are on. What does this mean? I called the dealer, but he wasn't sure and wanted me to bring it in (don't feel like driving for an hour for him to tell me it's nothing). I read through the manual, but there was nothing mentioning that. I have just under 50k miles, I wasn't sure if it was alerting me to that.
