thewerewolf, probably will make some adjustments in either budget or specifics on my mini checklist (may have to forego the zeemax for this mini or add later).

If you are talking about the Canadian Mini, you would have to send the question to the current owner of the mini. I do not own the car but am trying to determine the process and cost if bought, to get it into the USA.

river bend..  I am missing something.?? YOU sent me the link from www.ebay.co.uk and asked if I could buy for YOU??   how are you risking any money on this ebay.co.uk purchase  with ME.?? you are buying from seller with paypal.com    Transporter is picking up car from seller and taking direct to the port of southampton and then I am booking shipping to charleston sc via Wallenius or k Line.. in YOUR name and then I am picking up at port with transporter from port in Charleston SC?/ you are NOT sending me money for the car UPFRONT.. Being Lic dealer I can NOT presell car that is NOT on my dealer lot and NC title in my safe on my lot..  later bc  ps..  this is NOT like you are dealing with BP or ML..

I have only been a dealer/ importer for the past 44 YEARS..

I do not expect a person to buy a car in uk for me, import it, transport it to my state and then they hope to get paid. All I said was, having been in contact with you for 3 days, never having any experience with your operation, never having met you, I could not risk that amount of money until I did more checking. You probably have an outstanding operation and many very pleased customers but unfortunately I do not know any of this good history. I was taken once for a much smaller amount of money and am very cautious in business agreements until I take the time to do needed checking.

If you can get the seller to drive it across the border I'd gladly bring it to you. Big Al has done this before and met me just across the border. I realize you're many miles away from Big Al but surely your seller would do that as well. I've hauled Minis all over the US but don't cross the Canadian border. If you can work it out give me a call. I can probably beat USHIP prices and I speak English and know Minis. Lots of transporters are actually brokers and the guy that shows up is Russian and can't speak a lick of English.

Riverbend....keep in mind there were no "Coopers" in 1989
You need to do some homework.  It helps when buying, selling and ordering parts.
Also, technically an 89 is a Rover MINI

"Everybody should own a MINI at some point, or you are incomplete as a human being" - James May

"WET COOPER", Partsguy1 (Terry Snell of Penticton BC ) - Could you send the money for the unpaid parts and court fees.
Ordered so by a Judge

riverbend..   that mini on www.ebay.co.uk  that you send me photo of today. @ 182746639636 is wonderful mini.. but bidding on it starts at 7000 quid.. which is $9100 USD..  got to figure $3k to get here with inland freight  and another $1k to get from east coast port to you and $1k in CBP fees and duty. so about  $14k total landed in Ind..  later bc

Not worth going over the border when there are plenty of good cars already here. Especially sight unseen. Come up to Chicago. I got some nice cars.
