dusky..  CBP  does NOT usually bother with the side window.. it is usually the front windsceen they check the fo  dates.  and usually do this if both your vin numbers do NOT match.. you are still NOT allowed to ship new screen on pre 92 mini.. makes NOT sense to me either.. something about the new SCAC rules about having DOT marking  ALL spare parts..  later bc

Regarding dating your Glass, my 1992, first registered on Sept 1st 1992 has a front and rear screen made in May 1992... Whereas all the Side windows were made in November 1991.

The relevant numbers are the Bottom Line, where it will have ONE number and a series of Dots.

My Side windows have...1, dot, dot.  The uneven years have uneven number before the Dots. Each dot equals I month. You count the Dots backward, so this comes out as being made in November 1991.
My Screens have, 8 dots, before number 2.....so this means they were made in May 1992.  Even number years Follow the Dots.

Glass has ALWAYS been date coded, it's not a new thing.

If you know that prices in the USA can be higher, why do you need to ask what it's worth ?
In reality, there are a lot of cars coming back this way as UK prices are rising faster than in the US...

Someone mentioned this on Facebook too. But a lot of people said its not true and that they recently imported modified mini's with no problems.
Luckily glass is all original, although there is no way to verify this.
Seat belts etc are all oem as well.
Don't know who told you that but it is not correct a 1991 glass is code dated.
Where are the dates supposed to be?
I've never seen dates on the front of rear screen?

Hi!

I'm in the process of selling my mini.
As prices in the USA are quite a bit higher In would like to sell my mini in the US.(what would it be worth in the US?)
Anyone got any hints? Are there any companies doing this? Its a 1991 LHD mini, fully restored. Everything is new OR rebuilt, engine, brakes, suspension,...
With the money I'd buy myself An american icon,a Corvette.
Thanks!
