We were pretty much surrounded by fire at one point but the fire fighters managed to hold the line and keep the fire out of the Napa city limits.  There is so much devastation in Napa and Sonoma it is difficult to comprehend. 41 people dead, about 100 missing about 1,500 homes, several businesses, three schools, two hotels, and a few dozen wineries are all gone.  We have approximately 10,000 firefighters from all over on it now.  I met firefighters from New Mexico, Compton, San Francisco, Escondido, and San Bernardino today.

The Captain's show was on from 1955 to 1992, as per imdb. Bob Keeshan lived near my wife, was in the same yacht club and had some great parties at his house, so it is said.

I'd have to say I was watching the Captain in the early 50s as I was in school by 1955. Funny the things that spur your memory. I'm in the process of clearing out the home place before placing on market. Steve (CTR)

They were early 60s thru early 70s Canadians had the friendly giant and kookla Fran and olly around the time my mini was new, at least in the Detroit Windsor market. If memory serves going outside to dig a big hole in the ground was just as exciting as watching these tv shows.

ok one right, one wrong, and horribly misspelled. Not Fran, must have been Mr dress up
