The front tie rod on the Mini controls the fore and aft location of the lower front suspension arm of the car. In addition it provides a great degree of stability under braking. If your old stock rod is bent or the bushing are worn then you need help! When they are bent the caster angle of the front uprights will be wrong, resulting in tire wear and poor handling.
