When replacing the windshield in your car you will find a plastic insert that is used to 'lock' the glass into the rubber. While it is highly recommended that you not try to re-use that old hard rubber for the new glass, in either case for sure you can benefit from the use of this tool. It is designed to allow you to insert the lock strip in new or not too hard of old rubber with ease!
