FUEL PUMP MECHANICAL 1275cc MINI 1990 >
1990 on models of the Mini with 1275cc engines and HIF44 carbs use a different mechanical fuel pump. Driven off the camshaft at the rear of the motor these pumps are generally reliable but when a diaphragm goes bad it can be very serious as often raw gas is pumped into the engine. This dilutes the oil and causes severe wear.
For pre 1990 cars use AZX1818.
For 92 - 94 cars with HIF38 and 5/16" inlet use WND10005.
