RACE CAMSHAFT ELGIN 649 - STAR DRIVE
Many cam profiles have been tried over the years but the famous old "649" grind is still considered the best overall! It's a 300 degree duration cam with a valve lift of .470 when used with high lift rockers (.4" with stock)! This profile works great in everything from 948 to 1275cc motors. Todays standards would call this a mild race for a 1275cc, but a super cam for a 948cc. This is a "star drive" camshaft. This race cam from Elgin not only offers extreme precision but is especially hardened for heavy duty use!
