The Morris Minor conformance to USA standards for lighting was a real problem for the factory and thus you find several strange things in the wiring system. One of the unique features is the use of a turn signal flasher that has screw connectors rather than the more common push on (Lucar) system. The screw terminals provide a positive and lasting connection.
