You'll get the best of both worlds - acceleration and easy cruising - with this five speed gearbox. Built on a later model rod change transmission with pot joint outputs, this box is a direct swap for later models. Pre-rod change cars will require updating to accept this unit.
The final drive ratio is 3.4, so you'll have the acceleration as before through fourth gear. But with the overdrive fifth gear, the effective final drive is now 3.1 – great for highway cruising. Fully assembled, ready to install. Only covered under guarantee for parts with no labor. OTHER VARIANTS such as straight cut or with x pin diffs available. Remember: the weakest part of any A+ gearbox is 2nd gear, and this stronger box is no exception. Not for Turbos where boost is adjustable or powerful engines. Available in rod-change only.
