Binis seem to be hit or miss. Mine was great 'till 2 years into it or 30,000 miles then it fell apart. I also believe my MINI dealer had a lot to do with my frequent visits. They blew off a lot of problems that had me coming back 3-4 times before they'd seriously look into it. It always turned out to be something that SHOULD have been fixed right away but got worse 'cause the problem was neglected. There are a lot of good MINI mechanics out there, I just wouldn't recommend mine and the next closest dealer was 80 miles away. Too bad, the car was a blast and I miss it dearly, just don't miss the bi-monthly visits to the service dept. With gas prices the way they are, MINI is actually a top contender in the arena. Plus if you talk to any MINI owner, they'll tell you how fun the car is and it has lots of conveniences. Very cute and hard to resist! The "fun factor" is a powerful thing . That is a MINI/Mini curse. Kristina (Mongrel's owner)

Looks like everyone (Pete M) and ddrara are slamming BINIS all over the place- How can BMW keep selling these BINIS if they are that bad-? Hotel Calif, is the only one that has had good luck with these things- I guess, l'm glad that my new 2008 Chrysler 300 T is a great car, no trouble, great ride- BIG AL

I just want to let everyone know to avoid the Mini service department as much as possible at P&W. They're rude and not very professional. also, they left my front passenger wheel loose. I took the lug bolts out with my hand! That wouldn't have been very nice if that wheel had fallen off since I have very expensive Motegi TrakLites and it could have been a disasterous crash. Luckily, I am somewhat mechanically inclined and I cought it before this happened. I don't know if Pittsburgh is used to this, but all I know is that Albuquerque, NM (Sandia Mini) has the best Mini Service in the country Dante
