Sounds like a short. Check all your wiring.

Does it blow when the key is turned to the "acc" or accessory position, or when you turn it past to the start postion (run or on postion) before actually turning all the way to the starter? If its the first postion (accessory), check everything that works when that circuit is on for shorts, like the radio, brake light switch, etc. Unplug the dip switch/turn signal switch from the harness, replace the fuse and see if it blows again. Likewise for the brake light switch (should be a mechanical switch undeath near the brake pedal arm) Keep doing the process of elimation until you find the short. Steve Life is driving Minis. Everything else is just waiting.

I have a British Open Classic Mini 40. The interior fuse box has the section 6a /15 amp fuse blowing. I have no indicators, brake lights, dip light adj, or reverse lights working. The replaced fuse blows when the ignition key is turned just prior to engaging starter.
can anyone advise what to look for. I do not have the owners manual for this car
thanks
