Mini Cooper Verto Clutch Information

This article has been written owing to the increasing amount of people who ring Mini Spares stating that their 1275cc Injection type Mini will not start after fitting a new clutch, especially when they have purchased the parts from another supplier, usually a motor factoring company, rather than a Mini specialist.. There are 2 types of Pressure plates, namely AP (Automotive Products) and Valeo.

And I graduated from the USMMA in '79.  Next year at the reunion in October I'll have to see if I can find some of you folks.

Yes it is a Mini world and it's getting more Mini every day!

Welcome, and be sure to meet Tom Abbe in Glen Head, great mechanic and great photographer. He made me an "honorary member" (not officially) of LIME when we met at a photo workshop in Jackson Hole, and he sent me a LIME shirt which I wear to SF Bay Area events! (The small world continues, Shawn!)

Hi Gary,

Welcome to the Long Island Mini Enthusiasts LIMENY.org We meet the 2nd wed of every month which is August 13th this month. During the summer months we move the meeting around and this month we are planning our Monthly 7pm meeting at a member's new home shop w/lift in Selden, Suffolk County. If you registered on the site, you will receive an email with directions etc. We also hold informal meet-ups at a roadside place called the Clam Shack in Centerport on Route 25A, and also do the impromptu invite by email.

Hope to meet you soon.

Al
