Minor 1956 to 1959

With the introduction of the Minor 1000 in the late 1956's a completely new front seat frame was used with  modern internal foams and seat straps. Originally "deluxe" cars usually had leather faced seat covers, where as "standard" cars had vinyl seats. It is possible , however, to find cars fitted with leather front and vinyl rear seats. Contrasting light color piping were also used in this period, although we have across many passenger seats that fold down, which allowed better access to the rear seat on 2 door models.

Other changes on this range included a new larger parcel tray usually with heater duct fitted, which actually enclosed the round heater unit, but it is possible that certain cars had the tray only. A foamed crash pad was also added to front of the parcel tray. We are offering two types of headlining material for all models, one being creamy beige with a light brown fleck and the other a very light Grey, with matching sun visors also available. Please note from the illustrations the two types available; one with a central fitting bracket, the other which is larger and has brackets on either end.
