Right Hand Drive MG1100 with apparently some competition history. Has old rollbar, removeable harness bar and seat/head support, dash-mounted kill switch, and some dash placards from Albuquerque British Car club, a Rally in Colorado, and San Diego British Car Day. Has a Clear CA title.
While the stickers on the A-panel are modern and added by the previous owner for use in parades (he says), he says the other race bits were already installed long ago.
Car has a 1275 engine and 4-yncro transmission. The block and head are drilled for the 11-stud conversion and there looks to be forged high-lift rockers on the motor. The rest of the build is unknown. It is a solid-wall Austin America block.
There's rust in it, and the passenger floorpan will need to be replaced. Sills look good. There's some bondo here and there. All the glass is good. Suspension holds well. I topped up one side a few lbs. Old gas in the tank, so I ran it off of a fuel jug in the trunk to get it to run and drive.
It needs some attention to the fueling (for example, I put a single 1-3/4 carb on it while I cleaned and freed up the dual carbs and it sounded great. After putting the duals back on, it sounds uneven.
New slave cylinder was installed, master cylinders were disassembled and reassembled to un-goo them. Everything needs a good bleeding.
