I purchased this car about 2 months ago, but I have realized I need something a little more modern and with an auto for my commute. I wanted a project car that I could daily drive, and this classic mini was exactly that.
I purchased it from San Diego, and had it trucked to the Bay Area. I am not selling this car at a profit, I have the paperwork to show. I just dont know that I have time for a classic car.
the engine is the 998 engine. As far as I can tell, there are no leaks, and the engine holds compression. there are no electrical issues, although the windshield wiper motor is weak. I will have a mechanic look at the car before the sale. the car has around 2000 miles, although true milage is unknown.
tires are older and might need replacing soon. there is a lot of brake life left.
the transmission is pretty solid.
the car had the floor panel replaced under previous ownership. and there is no rust bubbling issues.
this is an Authi mini and is incredibly rare. its built by a company called Authi under license from British Leyland. the 1000E is supposed to be the "luxury" version of this car. make me an offer!
