As a predominantly North American forum, you may find a totally different attitude and get different responses here compared to back home on TMF or similar.

For me, with the high theft levels of Minis at the moment (which will only get worse once the biggest culprit is released from gaol) there is no way at all I would ever enter my details onto such an app.

Dan,

There is no fight left in this dog.
But I will not engage in any dialect with this member being discussed.
I too tried to help said member when they 1st appeared. Other forum members (wiser than me) pegged them for what they truly are, someone that enjoys disruption of this forum for their own amusement = troll.

I wouldn't open my ARMS to them, not even the ones I'm known for.

SxS man (pronounced side by side man).

I said I was done, not even to defend friends.
If I were Jewish I'd tear my sleeve.

MMEAST is in central Ohio, Edit (2017). I won't be able to attend many planning meetings but will fly in and volunteer to help in any way I'm needed.
Also MMWest, when it's in Arizona, I also will help as I'm needed.
Also, I've heard it mentioned that MMWest 2017 will be in San Francisco. I don't know if that's been officially decided or not but if it is I will fly in and also volunteer to help with their meet if they'd like it.
I know what it takes to put a meet on and don't mind helping to ease the burden to make the meet smooth and seamless so everyone can enjoy themselves.
Now let's allow albinohedgehog to continue with the topic he created.
Let's move on.

Tony, I have no opinion on whether SXSMAN would be open to having coffee with you. Personally, I have no particular "fight" with you - my role has been to point out when you what you post has been wrong. I have tried (desperately) to help you sort your Mini out, sometimes getting flack from others for it. But in spite of us trying to help, in the past you have been untruthful and even abusive (for which you have been banned). I have no daggers or pitchforks to put down. However, I have no interest or time to spend on someone who continues to be untruthful or open about who he really is. (In a recent post you said you were retired, yet in another one you said you boss would only let you have one day off for MMW.) I'm sorry, but you have been so evasive, misleading and sometimes untruthful, that I can't trust anything you say or write.

Perhaps you should read the children's story "The Boy Who Cried Wolf."

... and an apology to AlbinoHedgehog for the damage to his thread. But that's what often happens when Tony, aka mini4ever, aka Triggerboy, aka Robster, aka Tonipet, aka Veloster, aka....

yah, i understand sir jeg,  it would've been nice if i attended the event. But, seriously i just don't want to be blamed for anything., if you read the MMW2016 friendly advertisement, it was clearly stated that the minis has designated, guarded parking space to avoid dinged doors etc, thus if something bad happens,i don't want people to think that trigerboy did it,or if something bad happen to our greek visitor, i don't want fingers to be pointing @me.. you know what i mean?does it make sense?
But yah, i regret not being around in the successful event. but more than the minis, i wanted to see the people that i chat with in minimania in person.

Tony's in Yuma at the moment, but was Killeen - the folks at Burger King in Killeen know him quite well.  He's got a penchant for 'military towns'.

but yeah, if you want i can call you, just give me your number and we'll have a little chat about the minis.

I've friends in the NSA, maybe Tony should cut the BS and come clean.

Tony, I've given you my E-mail address many times - posted it here in the forum, so if you search the old threads, you'll find it.  You couldn't be bothered to write to get some free parts, so I'll call you.  E-mail your phone number to me and we'll talk about minis and all sorts of fun things.  I'll pour a glass of scotch, heck, I'll pour one for you also and wait for your E-mail.

If your mini can make it to El Centro, it could have made it to Sandy Eggo.  You could have learned something by attending the show and looking at all the cars.  Could have also gotten some good advice and probably a pair or two of willing hands to help you fix some of the problems with your car.  But no, I understand that you couldn't go to MMW because someone might blow your cover.  You'd much rather whine in anonymity about how lonely you are.  There are several minis closer to you than you think, and if you join the Arizona club, you'd surely find some.

HUH?? really? Jonathan klein is sxsman??? OMG!! i'm rolling my eyes right now!... But you know sir Dan, i think it's high time to put the dagger and the pitch forks down and shake our hands. i'm waving the white flag up. and offering my cyber hands for a cyber gentleman's shake hands. if i ever offended sxsman in any way, i sincerely apologize. Sxsman might be on his way back to Mesa AZ, if he is driving his red mini, he might wanna drop by el centro and have a coffee with me. if he can understand my crooked engrish and my horrible asian accent, then i guess we can be good friends. whadaya think sir Dan?

Actually you said "within 10 miles", which is less than 10 miles. Thanks for the clarification.
Would be the smallest chosen distance in the app "10 Miles or less" No more information will be shown other than that.

Is "within 10 miles" the smallest distance it would report? If not, by triangulation and direction estimation it would be possible - easy - to locate a Mini owner's home. If they could do in World War II by direction finding, we could do it now. Just like the old game of hotter-colder.

It is curious to observe that someone who is so paranoid about his identity and location loves the idea of this app. You will note Tony, AKA 'mini4ever' has not filled in his profile, just as he has not done in all his other banned profiles. Also curious to note he is all in favour of this app, but I'd bet he has not and will not contribute a cent to developing it. I also doubt he would shell out to download the app if he could. He's also drifting back toward his old habits of offending and abusing other forum members that ha got him banned on several occasions. Larry's observation was not offensive, just short and to the point. Ignore him Larry. Don't feed the "T".

No,no,! please pardon Larry's un-welcoming comment. He doesnt mean it.  Im sure he needs more enlightenment about your apps.
Or maybe he woke up in the wrong side of the couch,(or wrong house) anyway we all know him, he's a nice fella.

Or maybe he's just talking about this computer game below!
