Assuming you are using Windows, a file  (e.g.picture.jpg) will not open with a single click - the file just gets selected and should highlight like in this first image. (A quick double-click should open it, but you don't want to open it.)

To drag it, place your mouse pointer over it and hold down the left mouse button. If the file is on your desktop, the icon and filename will move the same way you can move shortcuts around. If you drag it onto your browser a little flag should appear with the word  "Move" and an arrow.  If the file is in a folder, you can do the same thing and "Move to Desktop" may appear as it moves over the desktop. Don't let go but keep it moving onto the green drag & drop. Then lift your finger off the mouse button. Since that spot on the browser isn't part of your computer's memory but a virtual part of something at Minimania's website, the file gets copied.

In my example PIC_0064.jpg got copied onto the green spot. The last image "capture3.jpg" shows "select-a-file" and PIC-0064.jpg in the image preview. They show up there once the "processing image" process is done.

They wont open the file when I click it once... I even made them in their own file, still don't work. And they are Jpeg files. This is like using the camera...I will try again later.

The drag and drop green button accepts jpg files but not pdf's. It may be your file type isn't compatible. You have to drag & drop the computer file, not an open image. If you are using some sort of image viewer, you should be able to have it "locate file on disk" (or something similar). That should bring up a file folder with the image file in it.

See the attached sample. It is a partial list of (boring) photos I stuck in a folder for later sorting.  If I wanted to upload one of those, I would single-click it to select but not open it, then drag it onto the green button.

I made that image using a snipping tool that saved that image to "capture.jpg" on my desktop. I then dragged it and dropped it.

The snipping tool is also a very quick way of making a jpg from an open pdf, or any file for that matter. My second image is a portion of my desktop showing 3 files I uploaded today.  That easy.

I have seen the green circle before...But I can't get the pictures off my computer and into that. I can't drag and drop them or copy them there.
