JimOhio.. you are missing the point..  they are titled 1967 LEGALLY as replicas.. and states this on the NC titles.. and special constructed ..also STAMPED on the NC title.. this was done about ten years ago here.. with the Commish of NC DMV lic and theft.. Tatum was FIRED over doing buddy 34 ford replica as REAL 34.. this antique and custom law covers all KITS Customs and ALL cars over 35 years and older..  you  have to take the car in on Trailer to Lic and theft here and get photos taken and  MVR 1 .MVR 55,MVR 31 MVR 92 and lic and theft form 270 Filed out..and title bond..   and have build sheet and receipts for all parts NEW or used..  total pages of paperwork to send the NC DMV is 33 pages..  later bc

I really don't think that the month of manufacture is of any consequence in this instance unless it would be to ascertain. a 15 year or 25 year limit for import purposes. I can't remember the number of times, l have been asked this question at Custom ports, l simply shrugged my shoulders and the officer would then say, pick a month, and he would fill in the box and move on- Of course late model Leland products (1970s)had a thin aluminium plate on the door indicating the vin # month/year of build, this certainly helped Although l am not sure but l fully believe the State of North Carolna felt by titleing these Chokes as 1967 would eliminate any safety/emissions problem as 1967 minimodels imported back then were legal- So can we now lay this subject to rest and move on to other mini related subjects that are far more interesting ?
