I second (third) what they said. I pulled my car from a barn after sitting from 1983 till 2003. The hydro worked and I left it alone. After about 10 years I finally blew a line. I replaced the bag it connected to and filled it.
Any time I remove any fluid it is nasty brown. I drive lots of miles on those bags. I pump it up with a few CCs a year.
I'm in West Michigan and come through your area a few times a year. I'd be happy to talk cars some day.

Unless your car is sitting down on the bump stops, leave it alone!

It's a sealed system. It it's working, leave it alone.
Unlike brake fluid which is hydroscopic and will suck water into the fluid through the caliper castings,
the hydro fluid is mostly water/antifreeze.
Others might have other ideas.
