I passed it a few times walking through the garage today. My wife and I are in transition of our "family" vehicle - bought a new-to-us Jeep Liberty to replace the 2004 Suzuki Grand Vitara, which we need to sell off (good for a parts source). That means we are currently a 4-vehicle family with a single width driveway. The Mini is first in, last out. We haven't even had time to take the Jeep for a spin.

Spring in Oregon.  Drove over to Salem to check out two golf courses, a little Taco Bell and then hit a couple Vineyards for a taste and some back roads on the way home. As long as you don't need to go over 60 my car is a kick to drive.

Age is factoring into particpation in the Healey Club,    Half of the participants brought their modern rides for 'rain security.

Few grandchildren were the Pilots of their Grandfather/Grandmothers cars which was nice to see. Cars are being handed down to those staying in the hobby... Good to see, but numbers are dwindling.

Mini's are seeming to hold a younger population, but 'high value sale prices will keep some from participating..
But still good cars are legal now up till 1994 here in the US.. Keeping mini's going! Thanks Japan

45 min drive one way in my mini to a nearby town to visit an amateur restorer.
He had about 8 ugly 1950s American cars, including flathead V-8s.
Those engines alone weighed more than my mini. The bumpers belonged on dumptrucks.
He had zero curiosity about my mini. I am not sure it registered to him that it was a car.

Just got back from Mini-ing around Nepean.
Colder than Florida! Nice to have a Mini heater that works (and doesn't leak!). Once warmed up, she ran very well... even generating a little unintended wheel-spin once or twice. I suspect the cold air being inducted helped in the power production. No hills or twisties unfortunately... just suburban and collector roads.

The sad part is that SNOW is forecast for this weekend, so it may be the last Mini drive for this year. Minis are fun in winter...except for the road salt and brine they put on the roads.

Just got back from Moken around Florida, camping in North Florida with 4 other Mokes and one Mini, 4 days around 875 miles fun times.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Yes, actually drove it all week as a daily driver, to work, meetings, lunch, and back home, over 350 miles.  95,000 miles over 17 years.  Last nite the temp gauge did not work, will try to get that fixed this weekend.  After 18 years of Mini ownership, I am still amazed that some people think that they can have a conversation with you going 75 in the expressway from the adjacent lane.  Also the ones that expect you to roll down the passenger window to talk to them at a light.  I reckon they do not realize that I do not have power windows.

Did meet some pretty cool people that came to the office yesterday and were familiar with Minis.  Always a pleasure to drive it.  Need two tires.
