It's easy to be a troll where no one knows your real name and where you are. My suggestion on the moderator thread is to restrict forum membership to paying customers. Don (or his accounting department) know who the customers are and while I'm sure they'd gladly sell me parts, if I'm banned from the forum I can't open a new account, unless maybe my wife's name? Still the same mailing address, never mind. Trust me, I'm not a huge customer, but my address and billing information is on record at Mini Mania.

My local Mini group, there's not a lot of activity on our forum but it's all civil as we meet in person several times a year. Harder to be a jerk to someone if you know you'll be seeing them at the local car show in April or September. On this forum I have let the trolls get to me, at which point I stopped looking for 7 or 8 years. Not sure, my post count is still at barely 0, but I've been on since 2000. At some point it got reset. Probably just as well, not sure I want to re-read all my old ones when I was trying to spar with the jerks. My apologies if anyone saw those posts and remembers me from that.

I have stopped posting cars/parts for sale, the same person that wanted $200 for an original Lucas 7" headlamp offered $600 for a complete running Mk 1. Or has that gotten better lately?

Although one or two have mentioned race, by and large people here do not discriminate based on race, religion, sex etc. It was you who played the race card as your first persona here, claiming to be non-specific Asian and making excuses that "Engrish" (the way you spelled it) was not your first language. Eventually you gave up on that line of baloney and revealed you were indeed educated and articulate in English. I don't recall anyone suggesting Asians belong in the third world. Most of us are aware that the largest Asian nations (by population) are not third world but are as advanced as the so-called western world and in some cases more advanced. By the way, you weren't the only Asian here. Other Asians get along fine here.

You did not get along well here because you often had a poor attitude, were obnoxious and sometimes offensive. From the beginning (and right up until this week), you habitually posted mis-information which others had to correct. Occasionally, and by your own admission, stirred things up because you liked "drama" (the word you used).

Daniel, no need! i already sold my mini today, there's no point of me staying here and get discriminated, i learn that Asians are being discriminated because they belong to the third world country. And that all their opinion don't matter.And IF they don't communicate well, they're nothing. I'm just figuring out how to delete my account, but i can't find the "delete account" button..as soon as i find it i'm outta here, in no time..

I'm no expert either, but it would work only for his home computer, if he has one. If he's operating off a smart phone or tablet and using various WIFI nodes, the addresses would be different.
BTW: I noticed he was busy last night wiping the content of many of his posts.

is it possible to take his url or ip and put a block on that?  I'm not a computer guy so I'm not even sure I'm using the correct

Or the other scenerio is a newbie asks questions and the troll chimes in with bad so called and even dangerous advice sometimes then totally de rails the thread to where some of those newbies never post again or just wonder what the hell is up with this forum and where are the moderators.
This forum used to be a place where you could come for advice for your Mini problems now the good guys are leaving or have already left and it is going downhill fast because of one disruptive individual who Mini Mania wants to do nothing to stop.

Yes Mur,and no one at Mini Mania will stand up for us. Only to say, well we will have to shut the forum down. That is not what I want to happen. Can't we all just get along?
