Have read your letters Braden. I will be at least as happy as you to finish our buisness. The day I receive
the part, I send you the other part ( top speed delivery at my cost, as agreed ) and we are finally done
doing buisness. I look forward to it as much as you Braden.

   Darren.

Read my last 2 responses to Derwood here... I am still sending him a factory shifter.

I must have made a poor description of my shift levers behaviour Big Al . Sorry my friend. The lever is
an aftermarket “ quick shift “ type, and le lever always feels extremely stiff and bound.

Thannk you for the greasse info Malcolm. The seller (  Braden at Longbridge Mini  ) said he was going to send me a replacement this current week, then changed his mind last night. No explanation given. Not a place
that I recommend anyone to do business with.

   Cheers,
     Darren.

It will have grease in it. I would think it is doubtful it has been damaged but who knows with the transport logistics it went through.
There is no spring action like a normal modern shifter but they do sell a kit to give you that feel.

Hi all. It has been too cold to do anything to my Mini in my brothers unheated garage, but I have a request to ask.—————

My car is an 1989 and has the rod type shift linkage. I am asking to see if  I can get some pictures of the
rod shifter housing assembly . I suspect and hope that the housing may be my transmission shifting trouble .
Perhaps it took a thump during transport ?
The only pictures I have found so far are the bobbin mount. Please post some pictures so I will know what
to expect once I get the car on stands.

FWTW- the gear lever seems tight to move. Even just shuffling from side to side in neutral seems to have
little spring force. Does the rod type shifter mount have lubricant in it ? Is it general shop grease, or
something else.
       Thank you,
    Darren.
