Unless you have a huge budget, trading up to a Cooper S will probably cost less and provide better performance and reliability. 

The challenge with adding forced induction is the need to lower the compression and change the computer software to accommodate the increase in boost.  The lubrication in the turbo engine is also different to accommodate the increased combustion temperatures.  You should also add an intercooler which adds a further challenge.  And the list goes on.

Sorry I don't have better news....

Hi all, I have a 2010 mini cooper R57 (no Turbo.) I would like to increase the HP a lot. Maybe add a turbo or supercharger. any ideas would be a great help, I am somewhat mechanicly inclined but my spelling is awful. Thanks in advance for any help
