I am at the point I am ready to install my valve head. A 12G940 head that has been re-worked by a local shop. I'm installing 1.5 rockers (Brand new) . The push rods have been re-polished nice N shiny.....I'm using a brand new Payen head gasket. The cylinders still have some assembly lube in them. From what I have read, 1275's have a hard time seating the rings.

What should I do before this final assembly to help seat the rings better? My plan of attack is to clean the head of any lube, clean the block of any lube where the head will sit. Should I clean the cylinders of any assembly lube before assembly? Any other advice ?

Thanks

 Jason
