Canadian Minis had a second Vin plate on the drivers door. It had the Canadian specks , the serial number and the month and year of manufacture. Not sure when they started adding them but a 1976 and up for sure.

If it was sold new in CA, there may be one on the windshield upright ( A pillar?...left side ). If it's a Euro market car...no idea
