Finding and Buying the the parts may be difficult, but the AC system is simple, if the system leaked out look for oil that comes out with the Freon, most common are fittings, the Underhood condenser in the corners, and compressors will fling a line of oil radially behind the belt up onto the underside of the hood. If you have access to the Freon there is dye for R 12 and 134A that lights up with a black light or just pressurize with air to about 70 psi and use snoop or dish soap and water to find the leak. Lines and can be made or adapted from other cars, condensers can welded, or adapted from other cars The AC teacher I had used parts from 5 different cars and 3 manufacturers on his homemade system in a Jeep. When we asked how much Freon to add he said that on the evaporator, when the gozinda is a cold as the gozoutta, add 6oz more, oils amounts are based on the component callouts by the part maker.

I spoke with Sergio. He said that he can figure it out, but it is hard to get parts for the A/C units.

Do you have contact info for Dion in Tampa and Malsal in Orlando?

I have a 1989 Mini Mayfair with A/C and the A/C does not hold the freon.  There is a leak somewhere.  Does anyone know where I can get 1. Parts for the A/C and 2. A schematic of the A/C systems

Also, in the cabin of the car, where the a/c switch is, the unit gets very hot while driving even though the a/c switch is turned off.  Any ideas why this is happening?

Does anyone know someone in South Florida that can fix this A/c system?

Thanks

Jack
