Depending where your roll cage is going to fitted wouldn't it be easier to just weld some ears on the roll cage and mount the belts that way, probably stronger and the late model Mokes did it that way.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

make a car lighter and it's faster everywhere. Colin Chapman.

I forgot to mention something. (Kind of important)
Probably leaving the roll cage so I may have to weld in more seat belt mounting brackets.  That's why I was asking for pictures of your set ups.
Edit: Looks like a few new brackets will be needed.
Thanks for the replies.

This is the stock setup in my mini.  Here are a couple if pics (need to rotate).  The end mounting point is below the door opening.

Thanks Ian
Once the weather breaks here in Arizona it's going on a rotisserie. If needed I can weld in other seat belt mounting brackets. I wondered if it would share the same hole. I haven't ordered belts yet. Wanting to know the layout to ensure that it works.

The circled tab goes on the same bolt used to retain the retractor.  Fit the tab then the retractor.

Your main problem will be fitting the retractor with the correct orientation.  The ones I have seen use gravity to hold the catch open then friction to lock when a sudden load is applied.  For this to work the unit must be square and upright.  The issue will be whether the unit will fit or whether the rear pockets get in the way.

I would hope that the instructions would provide the correct advice in this regard.

Cheers, Ian

I'm sure someone has this type of seatbelt mounted in their car. Adding seatbelts to a former race car.
Wondering where the anchor (circled) mounts ?
The reel and upper anchor are clear but unsure of circled part. (May need to weld in another plate)
A picture of your set up would be helpful.
