Clearly, I need to step up my game!
We did it in an hour from dropping it off of the tow truck to back onto the track. The removable front end helped, but everything being 2000 degrees did hinder a bit.

Sorry poor description, subframe is correct, um delete cover, add "in bed" at the end.

I cut the hex head off the awkward bolt (8 o/c), cut a screwdriver slot in it and screw it back in as a dowel.

Car engines make CO2 and trees absorb CO2. By running your engine you're feeding a tree and helping the environment.

The cradle must be the sub-frame. Keith's GT 5 racer has holes drilled in the sub-frame for easier access.

On mine someone drilled access holes in the cradle. Not thrilled that there are holes, but sure makes it quick and easy to remove the wok cover.

Yes, when I take out that bolt at 8 o'clock, I leave it out.  I think 4 is about my time also cause I need to assemble tools, and I like to clean up the parts I remove and sometimes paint them. Not including any paint drying time.

depends on if there is a brake booster in the way. If not, about an hour.

Also depends on if it's remote or rod change. Sometimes with the remote you can't get the motor up high enough without disconnecting the shifter housing.

I can have a complete motor and rod change pot joint trans out in about an hour and back in and running in about 2. That's working by myself.

We did an engine/trans out and back in and running again in a moke (withOUT a removable grill!) with 3 of us in under 2 hours.

Keith says if you can get that bolt out around 4 hours. Don't put it back... Deb

How long does it take you to do a release bearing on a pre-verto clutch?  Hardest part is that 8 o'clock bolt I think.
