The Mini Moke Club in the UK is definitely worth signing up for.  The magazines (5 a year) are excellent and bring reporting on Mokes from all over the world.  They are always looking for pictures and article submissions - even though the mags are always full.

Great club.

So Matt, are you still the NAMMR? After reading your post I, it wasn't clear if you were still doing it or if you were still wanting to deal with it. Please feel free to contact me if I can help or if you want to pass the torch.

I was nominated and voted in to take over ala 2016.  Unfortunately the major problem was opening files and access to mokeclub.org.  It became one of those things where I had the best intentions to honor him.  So i’ll leave you with “ifs and buts we all would have a merry Christmas.”  He would say that when I started making excuses.

I also realize that a few of your you offered to help and I appreciate that still.

Second the recommendation for joining the Moke Club.  Their 5-times a year magazine/journal is excellent, and they have produced reproduction parts and an excellent book on Mokes - "Moke, The History".

I belonged to the the old NAMMR even before I got a Moke - even have a few old newsletters around here somewhere.  It would be nice to revive the registry, maybe the old one has my Moke in it (bought last year from an L.A. owner)

Full disclosure: I might be a bit biased toward the Moke Club since they put a picture of my Moke's California license plate in a recent issue of the magazine ("I [heart] Mokes"].

North American Mokes could use some attention.

Based on this thread I went ahead and donated / Joined the UK Club.. Received a kind message back.

They are doing their part to collect info.

"There is no facility to enter VIN info on the application form but if you reply to this email with Vin, Engine, and body numbers that would help our registrars help track down all surviving Mokes. BTW which is yours - English, Australian or Portuguese?

If yours is an English Moke then the body number would be on the off side inner wing tucked up on the top edge under the wiring loom.

Ill send them my info just for fun sake. and hopefully seee a moke publication in a few weeks..   all for 20£  Why not.

Sherry printed her final "Farewell issue" of "The Moke Chronicles" in 2009 when she retired.  She had been running it for 27 years but it wasn't until a year of two later that the UK Moke Club agreed to absorb the membership and there was even a Mini Moke Chronicles section within the main UK magazine for a while.  I used to correspond with Sherry every now and again and was the one who wrote to Robin suggesting that he might want to take over the role of N/A Registrar.

At the time of Sherry's retirement, there were only 86 members of the NAMMR but she held another spreadsheet of some 477 entries on individual owners, their Mokes with brief details about all of them.  The information of all the NAMMR Mokes and owners was passed to the UK Moke Club and she also gave me a copy.  I also have copies all the Moke Chronicles from 1999 so alot of it has been saved.

Maybe it is time someone tried to set something up again?

Merged with the Mini Moke Club in England years ago. www.mokeclub.org  Good club with a regular newsletter that would be better called a magazine.

If you are looking for something specific from the U.S. club, I believe I still have all that were ever printed.

What happened to the North American Mini Moke Register when Sherry Chandler quit running it? Does anyone still have those records or is it all gone?
