Wiring to door switches is done. Hopefully it will work.
front headliner went in way easier than the rear headliner.
now all I need is the proper dome light base.
thanks to all for your assistance.

The only holes I see in the headliner are for the dome lamp (2) and for the wires (1).

how is your memory re: how to wire the passenger door switch?  That is now my immediate problem.

thanks

Isn’t the rear one held in by two small screws at the front?
perhaps my memory has failed (?)

Thanks
i should be able to handle this one!
i will be sure to use plenty of tape to insure I do not scratch the interior.
i assume the headliner is held in place by pressure and that no clips/screws are involved.

1966 Mini Cooper S

20 years ago I removed the 2 headliner panels.
I have cleaned them up and now it is time to re-install.

while researching how to install the headliner I came across what seemed like contradictory info.
I need confirmation from the experts - you!

I found this picture which seems straight forward but ....

The 3-section panel is where the dome light is mounted.
looks like this "front" panel is installed toward the windshield.

The 4-section panel (has the 3 metal catches) is the "rear" panel and installed toward the back window.

It looks like the rear panel goes in first then the front panel can slide over the 3 metal catches.

Please confirm or set me straight.

Thanks
