Ach.

I'd clean forgotten... and I've just shipped a pallet of all my collected treasure back home...

Oh well, good excuse for an expedition to see an old Mini chum !

It would be nice to have a '65 Cooper S with a 1275 for a weekend fling.

Roating between my 3 '68' keeps me pretty happy. Then when bored, I start switching decades

I can understand bored with a collector car, after 30 + years with a mustang there's nothing better than putting it under a car cover, and buying a mini to work on for a few of years, to refresh my interest in the mustang. And no peeking under the car cover during that time, or you have to start over.

Window machines come with a graphics editor called Paint that is easy to resize. It is in Programs/Accessories/Paint.exe.
See arrows on photo 1) Resize 2) choose percentage 3) see percentage resize. I save photo by adding sm to image name to indicate smaller.

It's entirely possible to get bored with Minis and the occasionally poisonous people the 'scene' can attract over here.  Been to a handful of shows in the last three years for that reason, and won't be doing the big ones next year either.

In the meantime - WHERE ARE THE BUMPERS ???

I've obtained a decent front one which has landed and will clear customs next week, have a set waiting for me in the back of beyond in the wastelands of Canada but always in the market for more !

That's a beauty of a car.  If I was in the market, I'd repatriate it.

As it is, I have a RHD Welsh Mini parked in my garage that literally hasn't turned a wheel in 10 months. (just bored, that's all)

I am sure you'll sell it.

Good luck !

Ve9aa - it is unclear if you are bored, your mini is bored or your mini wheel is bored...can you clarify?
P.S. Easiest way to resize pictures I find is the ex Microsoft PowerToy, image resizer. Install, then right click on a photo and resize it (into same or new filename, your choice)

I'm just bored with Mini's for the time being.  I know if I sell it, that I'll want to get another one (someday)....which will cost more $$, so I am hanging onto it.  I bought a bike last year which is seeing lots of seat time and burning a hole in my wallet

I don't wish to steer Steves thread any more off-kilter though.

More details about the lovely green Mini?

Thanks seems I have found a couple of people willing to post pics. A little background, this car belongs to a customer who lives very on the coast and expected as much as 2 feet of water (salt water) in his garage last week. I moved the car to my shop on higher ground. The wife never liked the car would not allow the kids to drive it due to her safety concerns. The owner drove the car to college and law school and stored it when starting a job and family. He had a budget and the desire to have the car fully rebuilt.
1979 Canadian 1000, all rust repair is done floors and sills. Those crazy rubber bumpers removed and mounting holes filled. The paint is 06 new mini BRG metallic with diamond white roof and mirrors. The front seats are from Summit Racing in black leather look vinyl they come with adjustable rails, forward flip release and recline. I designed the mounts to position them low and back. These are the seats for a 6/3 250 lb driver and are super comfy. The rear seat was done with matching material as are the upper and lower dash rail and A pillars. Three clock center pod, Newton cards, headliner, gray molded carpet with sound deadening and black carpet mats. High-end stereo with MP3, disc and matching speakers rear deck. All body and glass rubber replaced lower window channels replaced. Powder coated subs, all suspension, and brakes done 7.5 disc and super mini fins. 6X10 Minator minilite knockoffs with 165/10 Falkins. Wood&Picket flares in black as are screen seal fillers and wipers.
Engine is balanced and blueprinted MG Metro 1293 with new Kent MG/Vandplaus cam, maniflow header, and custom two box exhaust side exit chrome tip. Hif 44 metro water cooled intake std air cleaner with K&N element. Inline pull for heat valve super two core rad. Rod change rebuilt with bearings, forks, synchros, HD diff pin and spiders, inboard and outboard CVs spiders. New grille, surround parkers headlamp rings and rear lens. Clean Va. title current Va. state inspection. Steve (CTR)

PS had this disappear two days in a row.

Looks good !
A CA market MINI.  the side marker lights are a giveaway as well as the safety tab on the door sill.

Def not original seats or engine (1275),....those seats look really nice !
What year is it?

I saw the mini for sale at Steve's shop today. This car is very very nice, in excellent condition, and well worth more than what the sale price is. I already have one, but if in the market I would pay that price in a jiffy for what has been done to it.

I am attaching two photos from Steve, for Steve. Maybe more later. Harvey
