I am surprised they did not make the shell for the E Mokes in fiberglass.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Correct - They are in Santa Ana, not too far from Heritage Garage - they advertise pretty regularly in Craigslist.  Their Choke/Moke has a different body from the Moke America and is a bit cheaper.

Now seeing Chokes around San Diego - there is a dealer in La Jolla selling them for $18-$20K.  These are the Moke America Chokes - dimensions are bigger than a "proper Moke" and much heavier - 2300 lbs.  Top out at 25mph and can't be driven on roads with a speed limit greater than 25 mph (California Neighborhood Electric Vehicle rules).  Good only for local errands and golf courses.  But I am thinking these will help make real Mokes more famous and valuable (says someone who finally bagged a Moke last year. . .)

Technically he does albeit late 50's. The first Buckboard Mokes were made in 1959.
