Lancejoker, What year is your car? Minis are 1959-1999 (or 2000?), MINIs are newer and built by BMW.
Most of the participants on this board are owners of "classic" Minis. A few have (or in my case had) both. I still have my classic.
North American Motoring is a website with LOTS of MINI owners.

Can you post a pic of the hooks you have
my roof rack has a hook with one lower one grabbing the gutter rail and the other one (upper) affixed to the box, strong as hell, will never fail

Hello everyone. I need some help with my Mini. Someone gave me a roof box but didn't have the mounting instruction or anything with it. I'm hoping someone can tell me how the hardware goes to mount it to the rails. I'm hoping to take it on a camping trip this weekend and would prefer not dumping all my equipment down the side of a mountain. Thanks in advance everyone.
