Yes, it's a Hornet boot lid. Pretty sure Paul swapped the bumpers and I got the ones from Walter (who also has the original front seats from Kreacher if I'm not mistaken.) We've got some heavy in-breeding going on. Keeping it in the family.

I think we must have, since I checked the dates on my photos and it looks like I picked up the shell in March 2009, which would have been just before Mini 50. I picked up the bumpers and tires from you at MME in Chattanooga in 2011. I got the boot lid and wings from Jim C at some point, and then got the bonnet from JimFai a couple of years ago from Minneapolis by way of an Indiana tornado. Quite a story on that bonnet. The wheels came from someone here on the forum, but I can't remember who, and the front panel was cut off of a VTEC conversion at MiniTec. So as you can see, it's really been a community effort. I've been collecting bits for this project for a while, although I didn't really start putting it together until about 5 years ago.

No, this was the Charleston British Car Club annual British Car Day. You should come down some time. It's every October.

Always liked the mini-derived trailers.

Great seeing you today Brian and your trailer looks great!  Also was surprised to see the Caldwells at the show too.

After 6 or 7 years of working on this thing off and on, finally got it painted on Thursday, and put together yesterday for his first public appearance. Won best in class. Not too shabby for a pile of spare parts and scrap metal, if I say so myself.

I have an album of photos of the build process, if anyone is interested in seeing how I did it. Feel free to critique my work, you won't hurt my feelings.  'Alf - Photo Gallery
