The second issue has comcerned me simce since I bought and I think it’s time to address it. It’s occurs about 50% of the time. So after you come to a stop and then take off there is a lag in power and then takes off. I believe that it is not downshifting to first gear. I have been keeping the break on and Erving up a bit and then it takes of perfectly.

So Not sure if others have experienced this. Not sure if it needs an oil change because it is supposed to be sealed and lifetime. It could be a shift solenoid or what.
Maybe try flushing the trans fluid and fill with MINI brand fluid?
