I couldn't believe my eyes when Justin found the original tool bag with tools inside. What a find! Stuff like that is made of "Unobtainium" and I'll probably never see another complete set of original tools and bag ever again. Anyway, glad to have been a part of rescuing this Moke from the great north and bringing it south to it's new home where it will be loved. Fortunately, the previous owner must have kept it pretty dry and in storage, as I haven't seen an original Little Wheel Moke that solid in a long time. Great find Justin!

Hugh + Moke delivered today!

Spent a few hours with it just today, In total a 'garage' find... From an Estate sale posted earler in November.
Said to last run in 2013 =  Last inspection sticker 1980.Title was owned by seller since 1970

Yes it had an 'overspray' paintjob some time in life. Its presentable, but no where near perfect.   Has a few dents and dings body wise for sure.  Battery box is 100% rotted  - 80%gone. and Mabye a quarter size rust under the subframe mounts.  and the LF Fender is wrinkley, has been in an accident, probably reason for respray.  Eventhough the battery box floor is gone it has NOT crept into the other bins or floors. Happy to see _ Battery box panel is VERY easy to replace.

Top is old/ crunchy But present. It came with original tool bag + tools
Home made rear seat bench thats actually pretty cool in all!
Fuel tank is SPOTLESS= with 2 inches of old gas inside.
All mechanical connections look original. has had some brake work for the brake master replacement / Clutch master is frozen solid for sure.

Will get a full mechanical refurbishment . Hydrolics + RUbbers + Tyres. and will be driving with out a doubt with minor hours of that work.

In all im Estatic about the whole car = it will be a fine runner for my 2nd daughter in about 15 Years.

That's Eric Lindquist's moke. I never knew Eric, but I know many of the recipients of the Lindquist award given out at MMW for many years, and if they are any indication of the the person Eric was, the next owner of this moke should feel honored to be its next caretaker.

it says wrapped. Is it a vinyl wrap?  Or is it just a figure of speech?

You're probably right Al.  Still don't get it though........  Probably the most over priced variation of the mini

It's a change of colour green to white solid looks to be rust free UK Moke that is wrapped in flat green, as they made white Mokes in 1967 just remove the wrap and leave it white if not to your liking.
