I just checked the tubes and the air correctors. the side that I am having a problem with the air corrector loose and the other side its tight in place. could this be the problem? the adjustment screws are on the outside and there is no leaks.

Check you emulsion tubes and air correctors as well. Is this a newer carb with external adjustments to balance each barrel or an old one?

Make sure your valves are adjusted up the same on 1&2 vs 3&4. check for vacuum leaks on the cylinder pair runner that's not burning clean.

The problem is that it’s only on one side and not both.

Hi I have 1971 mini that I have just fitted a Weber40 DCOE to. I have one problem on the right have side of the carb it when you turn the adjustment screw not a lot really happens. I have bought a gunson colortune to Make sure and the the right hand side doesn’t adjust much. Like when I turn the screw in fully it’s still showing yellow and will not go to blue. I have check all the jets they are all the same on both sides. I just cannot get my head around it. Can someone please help?
Thanks
