At this point under the 25 year rule, everything older than a 1994 model is eligible for import into the USA except the State of California
So your selection should be pretty wide
Your shipping costs will be the biggest issues

well.. yes and no.. you will have to compare to the classic minis coming out of Japan with AC. and very little rust. I have NOT imported a mini in over FIVE years.. because the market got soooo soft.. and then there is the the rust problem.. later bc

For many years I had dreamed of owning a Mini. Recently I finally purchased my first Mini from the Netherlands.
I am currently living in Germany and will ship this car back when it reaches the 25 year mark. I travel in the Netherlands, Italy and
Germany and am always on the look out for a good Mini. I am thinking of shipping a few cars back to the States now in order to
make a few dollars to put into my current car. Do you think the market is good in the States for unrestored decent condition Minis?
Thanks.
