I removed a 1275 auto last week. While the engine smokes the tranny seemed fine. I'd like to have the time to do a valve job, rings and maybe a cam and lifters. If someone needs it I'm sure a deal can be made. Steve (CTR)

I know absolutely nothing about Mini automatics.  However, it may be helpful for you to read up on them.  I suggest you follow the link below to Todd Miller's Austin America website.

Todd's website does not allow direct linking to individual pages.  From the homepage select "Technical Advice" from the column on the left.  On the next page, scroll down and click the link to the AP Automatic Transmission (under the "Categories" heading).

First of all, you need to check the suction tube, there is a mesh on it, it could be clogged. It is necessary to check whether there are dents on the bottom. There may still be a quality oil filter.
And the most unpleasant is the wear of the crankshaft, or rather, the contributions.

What would cause low oil pressure while in gear? Idle pressure is 60-70 but once i put it in gear, it drops to 10-20. While driving it flucuates between 10-60 depending on rpm. Also the trans seems to slip a bit and not want to shift all the time
